The company and all its employees will henceforth be managed by the British subsidiary Lödige (United Kingdom) Limited while maintaining its own corporate identity. By adding Northern Elevators' expertise and solid presence in the north of the country, to Lödige’s own strong base in the South, the two companies together expand their nationwide coverage across the UK. The additional specialist staff and offices strengthen the service competence and network for both companies’ customers.
By acquiring Northern Elevator, Lödige Industries is responding to the significant increase of demand for its products in the north of the UK and expands its capabilities for servicing, maintaining and repairing all lift types including passenger lifts. Across the country, the company is seeing high growth in demand for goods lifts as well, driven by the e-commerce, retail and manufacturing sectors. Thanks to an increased countrywide network of engineers and technicians, both companies can maintain close travel distances for service and on-call activities. Northern Elevators benefits from the global expertise and network of Lödige Industries and will be able to offer their customers an enhanced portfolio of market-leading goods lifts, including Lödige’s top-selling ‘Sherpa’ goods lift.
