Lödige Benelux

celebrates 50 years

Team drives excellence.

Through the power of teamwork, excellence knows no boundaries

For over two decades, the pioneering spirit and perseverance of our founding members have guided our Lödige journey. Since our earliest days, they have embodied the innovative thinking and can-do attitude that continue shaping our success. We also celebrate the steadfast commitment of our many longstanding colleagues from around the world who helped lay the foundation for where we stand today.

How it all began

Since 1966, Lödige Industries has maintained a significant presence in the Dutch market. Originating from Helvoirt as a sales office for Lödige Fördertechnik, the journey began with one representative, one secretary and the initial flagship product, the 'Express Quick Loader'. As demand increased, the product range expanded to include scissor tables but also hydraulic lifts. This growth necessitated a move to larger premises in 's-Hertogenbosch, where an assembly and service department was established.

In 1974, Lödige Holland Machinefabriek B.V. was officially registered with the Chamber of Commerce. The following year marked a big milestone as Lödige installed the machine for KLM at Schiphol Airport. These early ventures into airport logistics laid the foundation for expertise in this field.

Fun fact: the ETV 6 machine, which was installed in cargo building 1, is still in operation today!

Innovation and Expansion

During the 1980s, the product range grew to include small goods lifts, bed lifters and disabled lifting platforms. This diversification in products and operations prompted the need for larger facilities, leading to the establishment of our own premises at Kasteleinenkampweg 14 in s-Hertogenbosch, where Lödige Benelux has been headquartered since 1996. In 1999, Lödige Benelux expanded its activities into Belgium, supplying and maintaining car lifts, goods lifts, freight lifts, parking systems, and air cargo systems. Throughout the 1990s and the subsequent decade, Lödige Industries became a global leader in logistics systems and lifting solutions. This growth has significantly impacted Lödige Benelux, exemplified by the installation of Lödige solutions and software in ten cargo handling buildings at Schiphol Airport.

Revolutionizing Parking and Airport Systems

Significant advancements in automatic parking solutions have marked a transformative era. Notably, Europe's largest fully automated parking system, accommodating 1,000 cars, has been successfully completed in Aarhus, Denmark. In the Netherlands, particularly in the Amsterdam region, automated parking has gained widespread recognition, with installations ranging from 5 cars, to big garages such as Vijzelgracht for 270 cars.

Lödige Benelux has established a dedicated division focused on parking and airport systems, encompassing sales, new construction, maintenance, and modernization. Looking ahead to 2024, the newly constructed cargo building 17 at Schiphol Airport will be fully equipped with state-of-the-art machines and software, enabling precise control and monitoring of terminal logistics processes.

Elevating Logistics

In recent years, Lödige Benelux has focused on the professional logistics market for goods and car transport, both with and without passenger guidance systems. Its range of lifts accommodates capacities up to 100 tons, with recent installations reaching up to 350 tons. Particularly under the Machinery Directive, these installations can be flexibly integrated into existing structures, with measures to reduce pit and shaft head height as needed.
