Lödige Industries has acquired MecFab Enterprises, an Australian company with branches in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, delivering mechanical and electrical services to airports.
The acquisition is the culmination of a partnership that began several years ago when MecFab were engaged as a key supplier by Lödige.
Lödige Industries CEO Philippe De Backer said: "Over the last few years we have increased our activities in the Australian market and recognised a significant area of opportunity in both air freight and express handling systems as well as automated parking. MecFab is the ideal partner to support us in realising these opportunities.”
"Our relationship has progressed very naturally. The two companies have worked together on many projects in the past and share common experiences, working methods and values. ”Nicholas Tripptree, Managing Director of the Lödige Industries subsidiary in Asia Pacific, explains why this in particular is very important for the company: "The quality of their work is excellent, matching our own high quality standards. All MecFab locations in Australia include fully equipped workshops and are able to carry out a wide range of projects from major overhauls to simple repairs. Integrating MecFab into the Lödige Industries organisation, offers a multitude of possibilities and will bring tremendous value to our clients in Australia."
Mark Cutts and Michael Dolso, founders of MecFab Enterprises, and continuing as directors of the company, added: "Very early on we realised the shared vision between our two companies to be best-in-class while delivering to our clients’ specific needs.”
"Both companies have a reputation for excellence and with our ability to tap into Australia’s air freight and express courier markets, MecFab will be able to exponentially expand our services, bringing cutting edge engineering and material handling technology exclusively to our customers."
In addition to the acquisition in Australia, Lödige Industries has recently established a new service location for lifts and parking systems in Berlin, in order to be able to offer fast and efficient on-site advice and support for the growing number of customers in the German capital.
